2009- My wife Elaine encouraged me to get out and perform music out again. I got a gig every Thursday night at The Ocean Mist, a prominent music venue In Southern RI. It began as Kuliana with a drummer- Ajay Coletta. It continued for 3 years and became a 5 piece band named the Yewts. It was from this band that sprung the idea of Hey Nineteen. Ajay suggested, because I kept adding Steely Dan songs to our repetoire that we should do a Steely Dan tribute.
